Caroline Strömberg

Caroline Strömberg is a lecturer at the Department of Business Administration, Technology and Social Sciences at Luleå University of Technology where she is part of the research project “Education for Participation – Philosophizing Back a ‘New’ Life after Acquired Brain Injury.” The project investigates the effects of philosophical conversations for people with acquired brain injuries with regard to the development of social and cognitive abilities pertinent to their returning to a well-functioning life of participation in society. Through Umeå University she also participates in the collaborative project “Future Forests” (hosted by the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences) where she writes on issues in environmental law.

 

Strömberg has an interest in the philosophy of law and has presented a number of articles on moral statements in laws at different conferences such as national and international IVR congresses. She teaches law and philosophy at Luleå University of Technology, i.a. philosophy of law, ethics and family law.

- Special issue published on European New Legal Realism in Retfaerd Nordic Journal of Law and Justice (Vol. 39, No 4, 2016) ed. Elisabeth Eneroth

 

- Filosofidagarna, a major event for philosophers in Sweden, will be held in Uppsala on 25-27 August 2017. We are launching a section of Philosophy of Law! Brian Leiter will give the key-note. Call for abstracts will be online soon, you are very welcome to present your research at this event.

 

- Two new PhD students in Philosophy of Law are starting in 2017 at The Department of Philosophy, Uppsala University: Elena Prats and Tommaso Braida will work in the project Civis Sum.

 

- Two new doctoral students started working in Jurisprudence at Gothenburg University: Kristina Hultegård and David Jivegård.
