David Reidhav

David Reidhav is LL.D. and Senior Lecturer in jurisprudence at the Faculty of Law at Lund University where he defended his dissertation Reasoning by Analogy – A Study on Analogy-Based Arguments in Law in 2007. In the dissertation he proposes a model for analyzing and assessing arguments from analogy in law.


Reidhav’s current research areas include normative conflicts in law, the analysis of legal competence, and legal argumentation. Among his later publications is “Conflict of Legal Norms: Definition and Varieties” (co-authored, in Logic in the Theory and Practice of Lawmaking, Springer 2015). He teaches in jurisprudence, legal argumentation, and law and economics.
