The Swedish Section of the International Association for Philosophy of Law and Social Philosophy
IVR (Internationale Vereinigung für Rechts- und Sozialphilosophie/The International Association for Philosophy of Law and Social Philosophy) was founded in Berlin on October 1, 1909. The purpose of the Association is the cultivation and promotion of legal and social philosophy at both the national and the international level, and it is open to scholars from all relevant disciplines.
IVR consists of a number of national sections (where IVR Sweden is one), and shall, as shall its national sections, organize congresses, lectures and other events of a similar nature. The national sections are autonomous with respect to the organization of their events and also solely responsible for their financial affairs.
